Regulation M-B added 15 new held items to Pokémon Champions. Not all of them are tournament-relevant, but several will reshape how teams are built heading into Worlds.
Life Orb is the most impactful addition. It boosts the power of every move by 30% at the cost of a small amount of the holder's HP each time it attacks. For attackers that don't need a Mega Stone and can't rely on the damage output of a Choice item, Life Orb is the best damage option in the game. Expect it on Gholdengo, Annihilape, and any strong attacker not using a Mega.
Light Clay extends the duration of Reflect and Light Screen from 5 turns to 8 turns. Screen setters were already viable in M-A. Light Clay turns a 5-turn window into an 8-turn one, meaning screen teams now have significantly more time to execute their game plan before defences expire.
Wide Lens raises the accuracy of moves by 10%. This makes it possible to run slightly unreliable moves — notably Stone Edge and Blizzard — with far less risk. Pairs particularly well with Mega Raichu Y's No Guard ability, which already ensures perfect accuracy regardless.
Muscle Band and Wise Glasses are the physical and special equivalents of a smaller Life Orb — they boost the power of physical or special moves by 10% with no recoil. Less explosive than Life Orb, but consistent and free.
Metronome boosts the power of a move each consecutive time it is used. Strong in theory, situational in practice — you need to successfully use the same move multiple turns in a row, which is difficult against varied threats.
Terrain Rocks (Icy Rock, Smooth Rock, Heat Rock, Damp Rock) extend weather and terrain durations. They pair directly with the new weather and terrain setters M-B introduced.
The remaining items — Iron Ball, Shed Shell, Big Root, Zoom Lens, Black Belt — are niche. Iron Ball has trick/swap interactions, Shed Shell prevents trapping, but none are first-pick competitive choices at this level.
